Apex Donates Funding for Equipment to Floyd County Sheriff’s Office

The Asset Management team at Cotton Plains Wind in Texas presented deputies with $4,500 for bulletproof vests.

Apex Clean Energy, asset manager of Cotton Plains Wind, a renewable energy project east of Floydada, Texas, donated $4,500 to the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.

From volunteering and participating in events to donating in-kind or monetary funds, Apex continues to set the standard in the industry for community involvement.

The donation allowed the department to purchase new bulletproof vests for deputies. A check for the donation was presented by Robert Acosta, facility manager for Cotton Plains Wind, and Roy Falcon, deputy facility manager, on Monday, December 19, at the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.

“The Sheriff’s Office works hard every day to maintain a safe community, and we hope this donation contributes to the deputies’ safety,” said Acosta. “This contribution is part of our commitment to the community.”

The Apex Clean Energy Asset Management team is committed to supporting the regions where its wind farms are operating. The Apex men and women who work on and live near the wind facilities strive to be responsible members of their local communities.
